The Leyland Titan was origionally designed for and operated by London Transport, and since Stagecoach took over the East London and Selkent operations have been used all over the Stagecoach network, the Fleet numbers of these vehicles matches the individual vehicles registrations, and as such are not a complete block, Most have now been withdrawn, including most of the Open Toppers used in the Lake District, The remaining survivors are now used Mainly as School buses in Scotland and it is therefore unsual for them to be seen operating on Normal duties, but this still happens occasionally

the 13xxx series of Leyland Olympians, comprised of the remaining survivors of the former Greater Manchester PTE vehicles, No former GMPTE vehicles remain now, And the Former Hong Kong Tri-axles are also in the process of being withdrawn as Volvo Olympians are made available by New Deliveries, however a number of these can still be found on School services in Scotland & South Yorkshire mainly on School services, whilst a number also survive at Winchester for South West Trains Rail Replacement duties.

The DAF SB250 came into the fleet with the acquisition of Huntingdon & District, since then a pair were obtained with Bullocks of Cheadle, these Five vehicles were origionally numbered 15995-99 after the MCW Metrobus'es as they were not expected to remain in the fleet for long, However the Acquisition of Eastbourne Buses brought further DAF's, of both High and Low floor varieties into the fleet, this meant that if the same number series was used, then they would encrouch on the remaining Metrobus'es so a new number series was created.

The Standard Double Deck Chassis for many Years was the Leyland Olympian, until it was replaced in production by the Volvo of the same name, Most Feature Alexander RL and Northern Counties Bodywork, However Other styles of Bodywork have also been operated including Eastern Coach Works, East Lanc's, Optare and Leyland, although a large number of earlier examples of the type, including all ECW bodied examples, have been withdrawn a large number continue in service, mainly of Schools Contracts, but they can still be found in Normal service

The Dennis Dominator's came into the fleet origionally when Stagecoach accuirred the Grimsby/Cleethorpes, Kingston upon Hull and Greater Manchester South Fleets, the majority of these vehicles carried Northern Counties Bodies to the Same Design as the Manchester Olympian's, whilst those obtained from Grimsby & Cleethorpes had East Lancs bodies similar to the Alexander RH design.
All the Dominators have now been withdrawn from Service

the Volvo Citybus is an underfloor engined Double Deck Version of the popular Volvo B10M Chassis,
Whilst being particularly popular in Scotland, other examples origionated with Southdown, and a further batch of Twelve that were new to Burnley & Pendle were obtained on the Acquisition of Lincolnshire Roadcar

The Scania N113's were origionally new to Busway's, Greater Manchester and East Kent, and the vast majority carry Northern Counties Bodies similar to the Dominators & Olympians, however the origion busways vehicle carried Alexander RH bodies but these have since been withdrawn whilst a further batch operate in Devon with Converable bodywork, during the Summer they can operate as Open tops whilst during the Winter, they operate as normal vehicles with the roof refitted.
Further Alexander Bodied vehicles entered the fleet when Maynes of Manchester was acquirred.

The First Low Floor double Deck Scania's to enter the fleet were Five East Lancs bodied OmniDekka's owned by Northants CC but operated by Stagecoach on the Corby Star Network, further Omnidekkas have since entered the fleet via the acquisition of Yorkshire Traction and Preston Bus.
Recent deliveries ordered directly by Stagecoach are the CN230's with ADL Enviro 400 Bodywork, some of which carry Dual purpose Seating with Leather Covers and are destined to operate on the Cambridge Guided Bus Way, but until that opens are utilised on the Cambridge - St Ives/Huntingdon services whilst a further batch have recently entered services at Cheltenham and Whitney fitted out to a high standard with Leather Seating and operated in Gold Livery

The remainder of the 15xxx series container small batches and often individual vehicles that are non Standard such as Daimler Fleetline, Bristol VR and MCW Metrobus, although the VR is not actually owned by Stagecoach it is based at Chichester depot and has its own Fleetnumber, whilst the Fleetline is stored at Chesterfield, and the remaining Metrobuse's operate the Summer Open Top service at Skegness

The Volvo Olympian became the standard double deck chassis for many years when it repaced the origional Leyland chassis, when that went out of production and as such can be found over the entire Stagecoach network, the vast majority having Alexander RL wodywork but a large number exist with Northern Counties Palatine body's, whilst acquisitions from other Fleets have brough a bit of variety with East Lancs bodies

The Volvo B7TL came into the fleet with the acquisition of the Yorkshire Traction group, this meant that a new number series had to be found and it was decided to number them in a series directly after the Volvo Olympians, Virtually all Carry East Lanc's Bodywork, mostly of the "Vyking" design whilst later examples carry the "Myllenium" design, However a batch carry Wright Gemini bodyies with dual purpose seating for the Lincoln - Skegness route, these are the only Wright bodied Doubles in the fleet.
The Acquisition of Rapson's in 2008 brought the first Four B9TL's into the Fleet, these are also the first vehicles in the fleet to be fitted with East Lancs Olympus bodies, and are branded for the "JET" services to Inverness Airport

The Standard low Floor Double Deck Chassis after the Olympian went out of production within the fleet is the Dennis Trident, athough the majority ordered by Stagecoach had Alexander ALX400 bodywork, seven were ordered with low height Plaxton President bodywork for Cambridge and a further batch of Forty standard height Presidents were later ordered due to capacity problems at Alexander's Falkirk plant, a small numer of further examples and also some with East Lancs bodywork have also now entered the fleet as other operators were acquired.

The Enviro 400 was the replacement for the ALX400 bodywork that is now out of production. And origionally was only available on Trident Chassis, it can now also be seen in the fleet on Chassis by Scania.
Stagecoach became one of the first operators of the ADL Enviro 400, when it recieved one of the Prototypes for service in London, this was a direct replacement for the Trident (17758) which was destroyed by a Bomb during the 7/7 terror attack's and was named "Spirit of London", However it was sold along with the rest of the London operation's to McQuarie Bank,
Since then the Enviro 400 has become the Standard Double Deck design for the Fleet, with over 500 now in stock on both ADL & Scania Chassis's

The 199xx series contain a number of "Heritage" vehicles preserved or operated by Stagecoach, most are preserved in the colours of their origional owners, with their origional Fleetnumbers and identities.
However both the Bristol FLF "Lodekka's" operated by Stagecoach East carry the current fleet livery and Fleetnumbers.

The Standard Heavy Weight Chassis used by Stagecoach is the Volvo B10M, and Stagecoach would probably tell you these were the best vehicles they ever bought, with over 500 examples being operated, most have Alexander PS bodywork but a large number also operate with Northern Counties Paladin Bodies
These vehicles are used on a wide variety of services including express work and can now be found working out of virtually every depot in the fleet.
Whilst some have also been transferred to the Driver Training Fleet in Manchester replacing Elderly Leyland Olympians

the Volvo B10B was one of the first Low Floor chassis to become available but most vehicles in the fleet with that chassis have been acquired at a later date, the Majority of these vehicles carry bodywork by Wright of various similar designs, but a number also operate with Alexander bodies including a batch of Striders and some ALX300's, whilst a small batch operate with Northern Counties Prestige Bodies. One vehicle that is unique however is Lincoln's 21076 L456JCk, this being the only vehicle in the fleet to carry bodywork by Saffle.
The later B7RLE has also made an appearance in the fleet, With two Wright Commuter bodied examples at Stranraer and a small number of Wright Urban Elipse bodied examples which were acquirred with Roadcar, Huntingdon & District and Rapson's, a Batch of Ten With Leather Seating and Eclipse 2 Bodywork have also arrived for use on the Cambridge Guided Busway, when it eventually opens, in the meanwhile they Can seen found operating along side the Enviro bodied Scania on the Cambridge - St Ives/Huntingdon Corridor

the Rather unusual Looking Optare Versa is a design that has replaced the 10 Metre Optare Solo in Production, and has recently started to make an appearrence in the Fleet, Most can be Found in South Wales and Western Scotland, however a Number also operate the Fylde coast services out of Fleetwood and Five that are owned by Warwickshire County Council have recently entered service from Leamington Painted in their Yellow & Green County Links livery, a further pair are also on order for use in Ashord

The DAF SB220 was never a type bought in any numbers, and few examples are left in service, these include an batch of East LancsMyllenium bodied examples acquired with Yorkshire Traction, whilst the recent acquisition of Eastbourne Buses brought more into the fleet, Some carrying Hungarian built Ikarus Polaris Bodies whilst the remainder carry Northern Counties Paladin's
The few Optare Delta bodied examples that remain are now in use as Driver Trainers, including an former Blackpool example that was acquirred with Preston Bus

Over the years Stagecoach have operated various vehicles with chassis's built by Dennis, that have been bought in such small numbers that have not warrented a number series of their own have entered service over the years, these have included Falcons, Lances and more recently Enviro 300's.
the Enviro 300's are operarted with two very different style bodies, The Mk1 can be found on the earlier examples in Rugby, Dover, Newcastle & Winchester, whilst a trio were obtained when Huntingdon & District was acquired and a pair operate out of Worksop depot, whilst Manchester still operate the origional demonstrator on routes along side standard MAN's
The Mk2 with the later style bodywork, that is also found on the more recently delivered MAN's are operated in Portsmouth and 12 were recently delivered to replace older vehicles at newly accuirred Eastbourne Buses

Scania Single Vehicles have never been a normal type to operate with Stagecoach, however as other Operators have been acquired, a number of vehicles of various chassis types have enter the fleet, recently a batch of OmniLink's owned by Warickshire CC and operated in their livery have entered service at Nuneaton
The Acquisition of Preston Bus early in 2009 brought a fleet of Twelve East Lanc's Esteem bodied CN230UD's into the fleet, these being amongst the first vehicles from that undertaking to receive fleet livery, which suits the Esteem bodywork well

One of the first single deck chassis types to be purchased was the lightweight Volvo B6, this was a direct competitor to the Dennis Dart, but was never as popular, especially with Drivers and Fitters, and as such no B6's remain in service.
One vehicle that stands out within this series is Kendal's 30342 N416KPS, as this is Not a B6, But a B6BLE with Wright Crusader bodywork, However as this was a prototype vehicle it had no wheelchair/Buggy area nor Ramp and as such should it was numbered into the 30xxx series along side the Standard B6's, this vehicle has also now been withdrawn

The lightweight Volvo B6LE was one of the first low floor vehicles to be purchased by stagecoach and further examples have been been added to the fleet when their original operators were acquired, Most feature Alexander ALX200 Bodywork, but some carry East Lanc's Spryte bodies, whilst there is a solitary example (31032) with a Plaxton Pointer body

the Step entrance Dennis Dart was one of the first type of single deck chassis to be purchased by Stagecoach and a large number still survive. all though withdrawrals have taken there toll, Most of the vehicles actually delivered to Stagecoach carry either Alexander Dash or Plaxton Pointer Bodies, however a number have been operated with different styles of Bodywork, including Wright Handybus, Marshall and Northern Counties
Acquisition of other operators have brought a further number of this type into the fleet, including a number that had previously been withdrawn and disposed of by Stagecoach, these were numbered into the 329xx series and predictably had a very short second life with Stagecoach before withdrawral & disposal for a second time.

the mainstay of the Low floor fleet is the highly popular Dennis Dart, and as such there are now well over 1000 of these vehicles within the fleet, mainly with bodywork by Alexander and Plaxton, but there are also some small batches with Marshall and East Lancs Bodywork.
These vehicles are also operated in many various chassis lengths from the Short 8 metre Mini-Pointer to the 11 metre Super Pointer Dart. and can be found at just about every depot within the fleet

Although Stagecoach Bought a batch of Excels for use in the East Midland's, they have not been followed by any further orders, however further Excels have entered the fleet following acquisition of the operators that owned them, and now all the Excels have been concentrated at Chesterfield and Worksop Depots, including the Three acquired with Rapsons, however one of these was deemed unfit for service and has been withdrawn.

the Enviro 200 is the latest development of the very successful Dennis Dart range and has recently started to make an appearance in the Fleet.
Most are of the standard 10.9 metre wheelbase however Worksop depot also operate two of the shorter 8 metre model on local service, all of the worksop allocation carry a green version of the fleet livery except for 36003/4 which are in "Robin Hood Airport Lynx" livery.

the MAN 14.220 HOCL is a lightweight chassis that was first bought by Yorkshire Traction and passed to Stagecoach when that company was acquired, these where split between two different body design's the earlier vehicles having East Lancs Myllenium's "Goldfish Bowl" whilst the later vehicles with MCV Evolution were order by Yorkshire Traction but delivered directly to Stagecoach
However since then Stagecoach have ordered euro 4 engined 14.240 examples of their own with ADL Enviro 200 bodywork, these are spread over a number of Depots across the country but the majority are operated in the North East

The Integral Optare Solo is the current Standard Minibus design, and can now be found in large numbers all ovr the fleet, mainly replacing Mercedes-Benz "Breadvans" on local services.
These Vehicles are available in various lengths but the standard variant within Stagecoach is the 8.5 metre model although a number of 9.2, 9.5 and 10.2 metre length models are also operated.
Also now in the fleet are a small number of the later Solo SR model that entered the fleet upon the acquisition of Preston Bus

the Optare MetroRider was a redesigned variation of the earlier MCW MetroRider, this was one of the first custom built Minibuses designs to enter service.
Very few of these vehicles remain in service, however, more have recently joined the fleet with the acquisition of Preston Bus, these are also not expected to remain in service for very long however

the Neoplan Skyliners were introduced first onto the Oxford Tube and later onto the MegaBus Network replacing former Hong Kong Tri-Axle Olympians, although some of the Former Megabus Vehicles have now been cascaded onto commutor services in Scotland. and those that remain with Megabus are due to Be Replaced soon
Withdrawrals have now commenced on the Oxford Allocated Vehicles which are soon to be replaced on the Route by Van Hool "Astromega's"

The Volvo B10M has been the Standard Coach Chassis for many years and as such can be found on a wide variety of services, from long distance Stage services to Driver training duties, whilst they are also the main form of vehicle used on the Megabus network along side the Tri-axle Volvo B12's
Over the years these vehicles have proved to be the main "Work Horse" of the fleet with both Coach & Bus variants being operated in large numbers including Double Deck versions, Most of the vehicles in service carry Plaxton bodies of various models whilst Jonckheere bodied examples are used mainly on the Megabus routes but a few are used on express work in the North West of England.

Most vehicles in this Number series were accuirred with the Rapson's and Rennies Fleet and retain their former Liveries.

The Unusual looking Designline Olympus is a New Zealand Built Hybrid Vehicle that mainly runs on Electric but also has a small Diesel Engine as a back up.
The Original Example (61001 VX04MZG) was originaly a Demonstrator and entered service in Stagecoach Livery with the Fleetnumber 80006, and as such operated in Various places including London & the Lake District, but has since been purchased and renumbered and has joined the Nine production vehicles in Newcastle, where they are utilised on the QuayLink Services.
